About

The international forum "Creative Ukraine" is the largest platform in Eastern Europe aimed at discussing the public policy features in cultural spheres and creative industries. Every year, the event brings together several dozen speakers from upwards of 10 countries. Politicians, creative entrepreneurs, international economic and cultural experts, and government representatives work closely to determine the most effective ways of forging an economy based on innovation, talent, and creativity.
The forum has been held since 2017.

The forum is organized and chaired by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

"Creative Ukraine" 2022
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine aimed at destroying the Ukrainian people, their identity and culture. Enemy rockets destroy our cultural monuments, and the occupant’s army kills and terrorizes Ukrainian society and cultural figures. Russia continues to shamelessly spread disinformation and propaganda narratives not only in the temporarily occupied territories but also on international diplomatic and artistic platforms. Ukraine's resistance during this war, which has been going on for eight years, is a testament to the willingness of Ukrainians to fight for the right to determine their future and remain an independent country.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything to bring our final victory closer.
Meanwhile, representatives of Ukraine’s creative industries are fighting on the cultural front. Culture and creative industries replicate the narratives fundamental to the nation and lay the foundation for the future of the Ukrainian nation as well as the development of its culture. The creative industries of Ukraine today face very important tasks: to continue the de-communization of territories and minds, pave the way for cultural diplomacy, and ultimately promote the reconstruction efforts after the war. At the same time, despite the resilience of the creative ecosystem and its creators, we cannot forget about its fragility. Creatives need increased attention from the state and international partners and donors.

The focus of the "Creative Ukraine" forum held on December 7-8, 2022, is the role of creative industries in Ukraine's liberation, war, and their contribution to victory.
